September in Seoul (Day 6, 2023)

Today was a slow day; I spent most of it walking around, sitting, wandering thoughts. There was a shift of some kind, maybe now that I’m on the mental track of returning home? At any rate, no art – just experiencing the city smells and sensations.

I spent quiet a bit of time by Cheonggyecheon stream, watching birds and people. It’s strange to visit a place over and over again – even though it is the same, it is not the same. I think the last time I was spent time here was during my first visit to Seoul in 2017. It feels more lived in, and also more wild than before.

Afterwords, I grabbed some dinner and then kicked my feet up, literally – all this concrete! Tomorrow is my last full day of vacay – I’m moving neighborhoods, will probably visit the Han again, maybe finish another book?

Friday evening, hanging out with the city pigeons at Cheonggyecheon stream.
