Third day, I spent most of the day inside – I have several hikes planned for later this week, so I’m enjoying the comfort of my dry, cool stay.
As such, I visited two huge malls south of the Han river – the Hyundai Seoul and COEX. The Hyundai Seoul was more luxury oriented than COEX, with a huge number of people on lunch when I arrived. I did briefly walk around outside in Yeouido, but the sun was very intense so I didn’t visit the main parkway (sunburn? Pass.)
In between air-conditioned malls, I emerged into the heat of midday and visited Bongeunsa , a Buddhist temple in the Gangnam neighborhood. I walked around briefly; the grounds were filled with the amplified chants of monks.

Did I fall asleep after eating dinner? NO! Well, maybe.
But, tomorrow – visit to MMCA and a early morning hike!
