The start of my full second day in Seoul began with a navigation mishap, meaning we spent a lot of time on the subway en route to our first destination of the day: the Seoul Yangnyeongsi Herb Medicine Museum.

The museum displayed ingredients from traditional Korean medicine, with brief descriptions of their medicinal purposes. Although small, it was informative and worth the trip.

Not pictured: two hours spent learning about 20 seconds of k-pop choreography with two other groups of tourists. It was a really fun experience; it helped me appreciate the hard work idols put into learning choreography that is even more intense and challenging!

We did some shopping in the rush hour crush of Hongdae, then returned to our neighborhood for some ginseng chicken soup at a nearby restaurant. No scrap left behind!
Even though it was Christmas Eve, everything was open and there were groups of people everywhere. Refreshing difference! We all had triple scoops of gelato; my flavors: hazelnut chocolate, chewing rice, and tiramisu. I think chewing rice and mugwort were the best flavors I tried.

I ended the day complete exhausted, but nothing some rest and a face mask can’t cure. Tomorrow, we’ll brave the crowds to visit some Christmas displays and have some cake!
